With all the trends on Instagram, we'd almost forget the gist: create ads that suit you as a brand and your audience, and achieve a certain goal. Sounds simple, but that's often overlooked. That's why it's time to get back to basics and give five logical tips for Instagram advertising.

Don't make it too sales-like

You don't even want it to notice that it's an ad. Of course, your ad should stand out, but if it's too clear that it's an ad, people scroll through it. Then you can whistle at your conversion. Therefore, let the design blend into your organic messages. Therefore, let the design speak and do not use too much text. Inspiring and professional photography or design works best. Is it a product? Then place this subtly and not too much "in your face". Of course you want to sell a product or service or you have another goal (for example, that people visit a page or download something), máár make sure that your ads really respond to a certain need. Keep the target group in mind continuously

No one cares what you do or sell. Sounds very blunt, but it really is. For example: due to the high quality of the clothing, they don't have to buy new clothes for years and enjoy ultimate wearing comfort. Or: after the purchase of the online service you save a lot of time and money and your staff is more satisfied. Just to name a few. This basic principle of marketing is often forgotten, because people like to talk about themselves. Don't wonder what you want to achieve, but what your target group wants to achieve/see.

Be clear & make it easy for the receiver

People nowadays are busy, busy, busy and checking their social media for a while in between. You need to catch their attention quickly – see the previous tips. And once you've done that, you want whoever sees your ad to convert as soon as possible. for example: they download your document or buy a particular product. Make it clear what you expect from the receiver. Keep the caption short and powerful and keep the button clear and descriptive. Think of "Do you want to double your sales through Instagram ads? Use video ads

Videos are a fine invention and setting this up as an ad is very simple these days. However, making the video requires a little more time and attention. Once again, we recommend hiring professionals for this. A high quality video ensures that you really build relationships with your target group and contributes to a positive image. Keep all previous tips in mind here. Moreover, it is important to maintain the right size. Most people use their phone vertically, so a horizontal video isn't going to be it.

Test, test, test

You've done everything: you've analyzed your audience carefully, your ads fit their needs and needs well, you've done your stinking best on the design, possibly there's a video ad in between. Now you're almost done, but there's one more important thing to keep in mind: testing is essential. Does the ad achieve the purpose of your campaign? Do you reach the right target audience? Testing your ads is something that never stops and keeps you on your toes. That's what makes Instagram advertising so dynamic.

Ik heb ontzettend veel websitebouwers gewerkt, maar nog nooit werd mijn design zo mooi begrepen als door Baas & Baas. Fijn dat er ook gewoon dezelfde taal wordt gesproken en de customer experience altijd centraal staat. Kan iedereen een smw met Baas & Baas aanraden, zeker als je een design wilt laten bouwen in Wordpress ken ik niemand die dit beter begrijpt en vertaalt!
