snapchat use company

You're no doubt familiar with Snapchat's app. Especially popular among young people but also to use for your company. The social media tool gives the ability to share photos and videos of up to 10 seconds. The content disappears again after a day and this is the power of the medium. As a company, you can use Snapchat in different ways. In this blog we will tell you how to do this!

To use Snapchat for your business, it's important to know what your goal is. By formulating it well in advance, it is more likely to work. On Snapchat, it's all about telling a story. The app is therefore a simple and accessible way to tell your company's story to others. To create a goal, you can first take a look around the app and follow other companies. Get inspiration from this and then devise a strategy to achieve the goal.

Be creative

It's important to stand out on Snapchat. By creating original and creative content you will stand out and people will remember the name of your company or brand. Try to inspire and surprise your followers, then they will follow you. For example, you can have them watch for a day at the office or during an event you organize. Snapchat is also a good place to announce new products and/or services or set up a win campaign. It is important to stay personal and stand out.

Snapchat ads

As with social media tools such as Instagram and Facebook, it is also possible to advertise on Snapchat. Snapchat's Ad Manager lets you create, manage, and analyze ads. You can use them to strengthen your brand, generate more followers, or get more reach or sales. It is possible to target the ad to different audiences.

You can be very creative with the ads. For example, it is possible to create the normal video ads but you can also create a sponsored filter with your brand name. With King's Day, For example, Unox had its own filter consisting of Unox crowns. The filter was viewed about 3 million times! This is of course a fantastic way to bring your brand to the attention. However, there is also a hefty price tag..

Snapchat roadmap

Do you want to use Snapchat for your business but don't know exactly how? In the step plan below, we will help you get started.

Step 1: Create a company account

Download Snapchat from Itunes or the Google Play Store. Then click sign in, enter your company information, and choose a suitable company name. You can't change this name anymore, so think about it.

Step 2: come up with a good story

Take your goal and strategy back and come up with some stories you can share from there. It is important that it becomes a complete story and not all loose photos or videos. Start with an introduction, a bright middle piece and close the story again. This way, followers will continue to watch until the end and will remember the story better. You can also incorporate a win-action or call to action in the end.

Step 3: Talk to followers

To keep followers with you, it's important to talk to them. Look up the interaction and stay active. For example, you can follow other relevant account or respond to other people's snaps. In your own story, you can ask questions of followers or invent interactive games.

Step 4: Be original

Once you know the app's functionality a bit, you can start challenging yourself more in terms of content. Come up with original content and be creative in it. Nothing's too crazy! Try to come up with fun actions that fit the company and try to distinguish yourself from this. For example, you can partner with a major influencer, create videos at exclusive locations, or come up with a recurring category.

Step 5: Have fun!

Snapchat is not a tool to generate more sales but in particular a way to strengthen your brand. Therefore, have fun and play a bit with the content. It doesn't have to be too serious. Be informal and keep the stories light-hearted. Humor always works well!

Snapchat regularly releases new updates, so keep an eye on our blog about that too!
